These tracks both come from ideas I've been trying to realise for years, which never turned out how I was hoping, but which I've kept coming back to.

Stewart Lee once said that, "the last taboo in stand-up is a man trying to do something sincerely and well”. The ethos of trying hard to do your best seems deeply unfashionable at the moment. Everything is about short cuts and quick fixes; people who spend years plugging away at their craft are often seen as naive or foolish.

So this EP is dedicated to everyone who keeps trying.

The artwork is from a photo of a trampled 'Yes' sticker the day after the Scottish independence referendum in 2014.
